Immaculata Update: Looking Towards the Assumption

Dear Friends and Benefactors,

On June 15, 2019, St. Mary’s Academy and College unveiled plans for building the Immaculata Church. This ambitious project will provide the St. Mary’s community with the church it needs, which will also stand as a beacon of Tradition for all faithful Catholics. To be a success, this project needs your support.

Now is the time to prayerfully consider how you can contribute to this effort both spiritually and financially. Spiritually, I ask you to please add the Memorare to your family Rosary so that we might build a home worthy of the Immaculata. Any other prayers for the success of the project are appreciated.

At the financial level, I am asking those willing to support the building of the Immaculata to turn in your pledge cards on August 15th – the Feast of Our Lady’s Assumption. While an impressive $15.7 million has already been raised, approximately $14.28 million more is needed to complete construction on the building. Thankfully, donations and pledges have already started to arrive. Now it is time for you to help, too.

In order to assist in your giving, seven “Circles of Support” have been established which can be spread out over a five-year period. They are structured as follows:

First Circle: Fr. Shyne League

This highest circle is set at $500,000 or above. With five years to meet the pledge, it is hoped that 10 individuals or families will step forward to become members and serve as the financial backbone behind the Immaculata project.

Second Circle: Foundry Guild

This all-important circle requires 15 members and is set at a range of $100,000 to $499,999. Members of the Foundry Guild can budget their payments between $20,000 and $99,999 annually.

Third Circle: Goldsmiths Guild

With a baseline of $50,000 and an upper-level of $99,999, Goldsmith payments can be set between $10,000 and $19,200 annually. 20 members are needed for this circle.

Fourth Circle: Stonecutters Guild

Requiring 30 members, the more modest five-year payment plan of $5,000 to $9,600 annually will meet the $25,000 to $49,999 threshold of this circle.

Fifth Circle: Windowmakers Guild

Ideal for single working adults, this circle’s range is set between $10,000 and $24,999. This means that monthly payments between $167 and $400 will allow the 100 members required to meet this threshold. That is less than a monthly car payment.

Sixth Circle: Musicians Guild

This circle, which seeks 300 members strong, is available to accommodate the financial reality of families raising children. With a range of $5,000 to $9,999, monthly contributions between $84 and $165 is all that is required.

Seventh Circle: Carpenters Guild

In search of 500 members, this circle is available for students and those living on a fixed income. Monthly payments between $17 and $80 ensures members will reach the $1,000 to $4,999 range. This payment plan costs less than dining out.

For those who want to make pledges, cards are available in the back of the Immaculata project brochure. For parishioners, I ask that you please give those pledges on August 15th to the receptacle in the chapel at the feet of Our Lady’s statue. Your gift is to her. You are welcome to attach any payments to that pledge as well.

In order to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness, monthly payments should be authorized, allowing regular bank drafts on the 10th of every month. Annual donations can also be established on a fixed schedule. Those desiring to make a one-time donation may do so through the aforementioned weblink.
