We explained in April 2021 that based on contracted costs and projected uncontracted amounts, the budget had increased significantly (33%). The cost of the finished package (e.g. interior trim, interior stone, landscaping) and many soft costs (e.g. organ, altars, statues, sacred items, linens, specific furnishings, and equipment) were projected but not yet contracted. We have now contracted the pipe organ and interior trim, requiring us to adjust (slightly) the budget, which still has projected costs for the remaining items. The remaining items include finalizing the altar's design, obtaining up-to-date amounts for the purchase, shipping, and installation of interior stone, and ordering the long list of soft-cost items.
To meet the new fundraising goals, we made plans to encourage new donors to support the project and set goals for existing donors to increase their giving by 33%. We sent out (in late September 2021) a new fund-raising appeal, yet already during 2021, many donors had increased their giving, and new donors joined the Fr. Shyne League and the various guilds.
PROJECT STATUS
Construction is moving forward steadily and consistently. Our contractors and suppliers are all working hard to meet deadlines. Our priests are busy finalizing the altar designs, artwork, statues, and various liturgical and other sacred items. Barring any delays with weather, supply chain issues, or other unexpected matters, the Immaculata will be completed on schedule in 2023, hopefully in early Spring.
WHAT WE NEED
If you received the September fundraising appeal, please look over it and consider how you can help give to this Beacon on the Plains in the center of North America. If you did not receive the appeal or prefer all things digital, this link gives you access to a complete copy available on our website.
New Donors:
Join a guild. These are explained on our website on the Guild Page.
Select a giving level…we have received gifts from $1 to $500,000 on our website and through the mail.
Complete the online pledge card or mail the pledge form if you received it in the mail.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Existing Donors
Thank you for your past and your continuing support.
If you have remaining payments on your previous pledge, please be sure to make those payments…we have made commitments to our contractor based on the funds your remaining payments represent.
Our goal is to increase everyone’s giving by 33%. Many have already done so. Consider increasing to the extent your situation allows and completing the online pledge increase card or mailing the pledge increase form if you received it in the mail. Ideas include one or a combination of any of the following:
Moving up to the next guild level or joining a Guild if you have not already done so
Increasing the remaining payments on your pledge
Extending the number of remaining payments by six months, twelve months, or any number of your choice of months (or annual payments)
Making an extra or an additional one-time donation

WHEN WE NEED YOUR HELP
We have set December 8th, the feast of the Immaculate Conception, as the date by which to submit your donation plans. This includes new donors and those increasing their giving. Meeting this deadline allows you to transition on Our Lady’s Feast Day from the temporal to the spiritual because December 8th is the beginning of the year of the Immaculata Spiritual Pilgrimage that Father Rutledge has encouraged all to commit to in order to move forward earnestly on the path of holiness.
