July 2020 Financial Update
July saw new donations (pledges and one-time contributions) of $120,000 — the most in six months bringing the total raised to $26,830,000. This leaves $3,170,000 of the original $30,000,000 goal yet to be raised.
The action on the ground with massive excavation now begun is inspiring the new donations and importantly, it is encouraging people who have pledged funds to continue to make their monthly or annual pledge payments including some that have “paid ahead” to either pay off their pledge in full or pay extra ahead of schedule. Total funds deposited were $260,000 which includes both new one-time donations and payments on previous pledges. Thank you to those that are keeping on top of their pledge payments.
We are planning a social network outreach in which we will provide tools for all current supporters to spread the word about this incredible project. Be prepared for comprehensive information that will assist you in sharing with your friends and family. Our goal is for every supporter to find at least ten people to share with once we have the tools ready for you.
